I'm a trainer who develops in Moodle using a localhost server provided by Web on a Stick software. The server software runs apache and mysql. This seems to run ok but when I type localhost into the url of any of my browsers I just get a blank page. Is Kapersky somehow stopping the php from running. If so what can I do to enable it?

Hello.
Welcome to our forum.

If you turn Kaspersky off, does it help?

I did that but still but still had the problem in all browsers but I did then get an option to unblock apache and mysql which windows security tried to block once Kapersky was switched off. Then I crawled through various help files in Internet Explorer and tried "enable scripting to talk to web browser. This got the localhost php running at least in IE. I then switched Kapersky back on. It seemed to then recognise that I was using the Web on a Stick software, apache and mysql and allowed them. Then it worked on Firefox. Google Chrome I may need to tweak yet. so I think it was a combination of multiple issues.

Thanks
