Hello all, this is my first post here.
I manage a small (80) user network with version 6 corporate anti-virus with anti spam we also run the administration kit. Eveything works well and is 99% automatic and configured through policies and tasks.
I have looked and looked but there does not seem to be any way of setting the option for the anti-spam dialogue box that appears the first time that you start Outlook. Most users have no idea what to do with it so that mean that I must manually set this up for each new user.
is there any way to deploy those settings using the administration kit? I am soo close to being able to deploy users without interaction except for this little bug-bear!
any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
thanks,
Lach.

Hello,
please be sure that you've installed Anti-Spam component for workstation anti-virus. By default, it is not included to remote installation package, you should enable it manually and make full reinstall.
Hello,
I don't think it's possible, as this protection module is a personal anti-spam which means each user should be able to configure it.
You can try to add a configuration file in your installation package, with this option disabled, but I'm not really sure it works.
You may install an antivirus on your mail server instead of leaving all of your users manage this point as it seems they don't have enough knowledge to do that.
Than you very much for your replies...
This highlights a problem with the kaspersky solution.
We need that component installed so the users can train the client to reject and accept mis-detected spam, this is very easy to train the users with, since all they have to do is press the green or red button on the tool bar.
But I don't see why it can't be a global default setting, I am sure there must be a reg setting that can be pushed out...I have not found it.
I would love to have this training somehow filter back to a server level but I can see that this may cause problems with mis-flagged spam being centrally tagged as spam or not for all users instead of affecting this one user. Every now and then I get a sender that is flagged as spam for all users and it would be great to add this sender to some sort of global white list.
I deploy all my users automatically including the anti-spam component....this is installed to all users so that is not the probelm.
Anybody else have any ideas on this?
cheers,
Lach
Vitaly Belyakov : yes, it is installed as part of the package normally and automatically

I can suggest only to install some anti-spam product to your mailserver. For workstations there is no possibility to centralize anti-spam settings, at all.
The best paxis is a solution in front of your mailserver. Like AntiSpam from Kaspersky or an another AntiSpam appliance.
