Hello All,

I am running Kaspersky File Anti Virus on 200 Windows 2003 servers. I have created a policy that locks down the application
from the end user. In the "File Anti Virus" policy there is an option that allows you "Pause Task" between a give time.

The question I have here is the following.......When this feature is enabled does this leave the server vunerable or is Real Time protection still enabled ? Hope this makes sense.

Thanks
Colin

Hello,

When the real time protection is paused your server is vulnerable and can be infected by a virus.
This feature should be used, for example, during a backup, to prevent saved files from being scanned and therefore increase the backup time.
Use it at your own risk.
