Hi Guys,

I managed to install by mistake the 32bit version of KAV for Windows Servers on my Windows 2008 x64 box. Why it didn't throw up any error messages on install I have no idea - but anyway. I want to remove it now from the server as it's causing some issues (not surprisingly). If I try and use the Windows uninstaller I get "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." - if I try to use KisKav6Remove it runs but KAV is not removed.

Is there a manual way to remove it? I need to get it off this server ASAP.

Cheers,

G

You can use this tool to remove this version.

Boot your server in safe mode and start this tool.

Thanks for that, not working though. It says that Kaspersky is not detected.

Please try to use MS CleanUp utility for removing Kaspersky Anti-Virus: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Thank you for that Olesya.

This command worked perfectly "kavremover9.exe kav6fs"
