Hi folks,

Brand new debian box, brand new kav install with postfix.

Whats wrong?

and

/etc/init.d/kav4lms start
Starting up kav4lms daemon: kavmd...failed.

and

/etc/init.d/kav4lms start
Starting up kav4lms daemon: kavmd...failed.


Those error messages in the log are caused by kavmd failure at start (the latest line you stated here).

kav4lms-filters attempt to connect to kavmd daemon which is down, so it's working socket does not exist or is not listened by the daemon, so they produce appropriate error in the log.
