I'm doing good today, i'm upto my third question of the day

In KAV for Workstation 6 settings, under "Service >> Appearance", there is an option for "Animate tray icon when processing items".
I'd like to remove this so the user doesn't notice it updating and scanning, but I've looked in the policy for Workstation 6 on my admin kit, and I can't find this setting anywhere.
Is there a way to turn this off on a global scale?

You find this in the policy under "Service" / "View". Uncheck "Interaction with interface"

Switching off "animate the icon..." on the workstation settings leaves the icon, but just stops it from animating.
I tried the policy setting you mention, but that removed the icon from the user. I'd like to just stop it from animating if possible.

It will be only possible to modify the registry. I try to find the key.

The key is:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\KasperskyLab\avp6\settings DWord=0

Thanks. I should be able to put this in the login script on my XP machines, but Vista doesn't like importing into the registry silently when the UAC is on, so I need to look into that.
