Hello,

Quick question, can i define a policy for only specific systems within a group? It seems i can only define a policy for an entire group rather than just specific systems as in a remote install for example.
We have a wide range of systems most with different settings depending on user needs. I'm just trying to set the systems i can to have a specific policy maybe 10 to 15.

Thanks,
AC1

Hello,
well, if with "systems" you mean "operative systems", you cannot define policy by them. On the other hand, if you mean "host", you can configure KAV in detail for each machine....but, in this case, it would be strange to talk about "policy"...the policy, basically, is defined "per group" of hosts.
Maybe you can define a minimum policy which provides basic parameters, then customize each host depending to its needs....smile.gif

Hey,

How have you been? Ahh yea i do mean hosts, sorry for not clarifying. The issue i have though is very few of the hosts within the group have the same settings due to the fact they are fine tuned for each individual user. I would say there are maybe 10 systems(hosts) where the settings are the same within that group. Now this layout in the Admin kit is the same as Active Directory, could i create a new group and move those hosts into the new group and manage them that way?

Thanks,

Yes, just create a 'special' group for that hosts, which are configured individually. But pay attention, that there is no (inherited) policy, in which settings are set mandatory, which you want to change in the host configuration.

Thank you both for the assistance, it is appreicated.
