Hello,
My laptop was hit by a bloody virus, I was getting an svchost error, and kaspersky stopped working.
I am running KAV 6.0 for windows workstation.

after restarting the laptop, when I try log in to windows (using the active directory account or the local account) I pass through the password validation, then evrything stops, I don't see the desktop icons, nor the start up, I only see the background picture.

I am able to login through safe mode, but kaspersky isn't working their either in order to do a full scan.

any one has any idea what to do next?

Did you try to scan your PC by KAV in safe mode?

hi jad,
you should manually start the kaspersky in safe mode, then scan the computer. this should work, if not,
you will need to manually remove the viruses in your laptop, in doing this you need different tools, eg. procexp or ice sword.

maybe you can give us a system scan log result from procexp or HiJack this from your laptop so that we can help you
