Hi,
After I changed the server machine from a Windows 2003 standard to a Windows 2003 SBS R2, workstations antivirus failed after login. I uninstalled the antivirus in all the computers and installed again. The antivirus did not fail at startup/login now, but I had a network problem when the clients are using programs that access network shared data, in example, DBF files, Access Databases, the operations are slower (add, modify, delete records).
I let some machines without antivirus installed (Antivirus for Workstations version 6.0.3.837) and all operations are good and quicker. I have unchecked the Kaspersky NDIS filter with no results.
The old server used the administration kit and no the newest. The network agent was uninstalled in all the workstations.
Any ideas?
I need help.
Best regards,
Juan Carlos
PD: Sorry for my poor english.
Look into the settings for File Anti Virus - Customize - Protection scope. Are all network drives checked?
Is the Admin Kit working or did you change it to your new server too?

Thank you for your response.
The new server has not the Admin Kit installed, because I had some issues during server configuration (Exchange, IIS, Sharepoint) and let this operation for the future.
Have a nice day.

Yes, all network drives are checked. I tested unchecking Network drivers with no results.
I have switched off the Firewall, Self-Protection, and more with no results. Another test, I have tried with file, email and spam filters checked and still the same.
We only see good results if the antivirus is uninstalled.
Before the new server installation, we found some issues in the workstations with the update tasks with a program crash in only one computer, but it was fixed.
After the new server installation, when the computers log into the new domain, the antivirus crashes in each computer, the programs that access network data have slower speed. Sometimes when they started to work with the network data, they had good results with a few operations (add, modify and delete some records), but suddenly, it freezed few seconds and got slower again.
Thank you very much.
Juan Carlos.
