Hi

One of my client machine running "Kaspersky Antivirus for windows worstation" (kav6.0.3.837_winwksen.exe) cannot run the updates task. i try to update it from my admin Kit and it says "Invalid file signatures". all other client computers are updating properly.

Can anyone tell me whats wrong and how to fix this problem?

Thanks

Please deactivate temporarily the self-defense in the settings of KAV. Then delete the content (not the folder itself) of c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\avp6\bases (sth. similar. got no english version here)
Activate self-defense again and start updating. If you get an error, start update again.

Thanks for quick response smile.gif. i haven't found any file you mention in "c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\avp6\bases". i have attached an screen shot error on workstation. it says that black.lst is invalid??. Please help.

Your screenshot shows that the update size is more than 54Mb which is abnormal size.
In Administration Kit, run global update task to fix this issue and then run the group update task once again.

it was a newly installed kasper and the updater was running for the first time. i have also run the global update task and then run the group task to update the machine, all other computer in the group successfully updated except this one sad.gif only. it says the same "invalid file signature".

Remove the product with Kavremover9: http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208279463
Reinstall it and then update again.
If you still have the same error then post a GetSystemInfo report.

I download the remover and remove kasper and reinstall it, but the problem is same sad.gif. i download and run GetSystemInfo and upload it at

http://rapidshare.com/files/223751015/GetS..._16_34.zip.html

the file size was 477 kb so i cannot upload it on this forum due to 300K size limit.

by default in your windows "application data\avp6\bases" is hidden (please show all hidden files and folders) then go to that path and delete all contents of bases folder, then try to update again, make sure to disable self defense so you can delete those file. b_punk.gif

thanks for details smile.gif I delete all files in bases folder and after that kasper notify me like "black.lst is corrupted or either missing, run updater to fix this problem".
i run updater again and the problem is same, but this time the computer is successfully updating from "Kasper Lab update server" or any update distribution folder smile.gif . Now the problem is only happening when i try to update it through admin kit "Invalid file signature".

any suggestion to fix the problem of admin kit ?
