yes , it run very fluency on my server. and it seems that KAV2010 on the notebook in the LAN updated successfully from this linux server.

I see the directory './bases/AutoPatches/kav9exec/9.0.0.459/' after running ' ./retranslator' successfully . The version of my KAV2010 is '9.0.0.463 chs',not '9.0.0.459'. so i'm not sure if KAV2010 updated very well indeed. But the report of KAV2010 show it is successful.

I wish the software can support KAV2010 9.0.0.463 soon.

Best regards.

Hello,
I used to use keepup2date before on this same machine (Fedora 10).
I have a problem with retranslate when the conf file is in /etc

[kavupdater@linux2 ~]$ ./retranslator -c /etc/retranslator.conf
Can't open log file: /etc/./retranslator.log
./retranslator: line 7: 13545 Segmentation fault $0.bin "$@"

In fact the -c option does not work at all:

[kavupdater@linux2 ~]$ ./retranslator -c retranslator.conf
Could not load configuration file retranslator.conf: Can't do chdir to 'retranslator.conf' all local path in settings may be wrong

There is no problem if the conf file is in the same directory than retranslator.bin and no -c option is given:

[kavupdater@linux2 ~]$ ./retranslator
Kaspersky Retranslator 5.0.0.7/DEBUG build #11

Hello, welcome to forum!

Are you in retranslator's directory when you specify the conf file?

Hello,

It does not matter whether in or outside the retranslator's directory.

Here follows an example:

[kavupdater@linux2 ~]$ pwd
/home/kavupdater
[kavupdater@linux2 ~]$ ls
backup bases keepup2date lib retranslator retranslator.bin retranslator.conf retranslator.log
[kavupdater@linux2 ~]$ ./retranslator -c retranslator.conf
Could not load configuration file retranslator.conf: Can't do chdir to 'retranslator.conf' all local path in settings may be wrong

Thanks

Are you sure that you use version 5.0.0.7? This problem was in 5.0.0.3, but in last version it was solved.
