I am really frustrated now, I've tried everything I've read and nothing works, I have downloaded the updater and it comes up with error 38, cannot conect, I have gone onto the page to check the address and it just comes up with a page that says internet explorer cannot view this page. pls can somebody help before I throw my computer out of the window!

Do you use a proxy server to connect to the Internet?

I've managed to get it to work but when I start it it comes up with a message saying error 38.. connection to source cannot be established, my internet connection is working fine and I've just discovered that my windows defender won't update either. Do u think I may have a virus that is stopping my security from updating?

mine is doing the same. says data base is obsolete when i have until Oct. to renew
i try to update and keeps coming back obsolete.Would uninstall and reinstall help?

My updater seems not working at all.

Everytime I turn on my computer, it say the database is obsolete.

I hit update and it goes 13% or 17% and jumps to 100%; but still no update is finished.

One of members said to do a MALWARE SCAN. (How do I do that?)
