Hi, i have few clients with 6.0.3.837 having updates failed since few days back. i run kaspersky removal tool to uninstall & re-install also same problem. local update task also failed.
Hi,
What is your update source and what is the complete error message which occurs during the update process ?
If you're using Administration Kit as an update source, how many workstations are you managing/updating with it ?

first source is update from kasprsky admin kit, second source is from kaspersky web-site (default setting).
error just show failed. admin kit server is managing total of 480 workstations & servers
What is in the description field of this event ?
There must be more details about why the update has failed in it.
In the properties of your group update task, Check the Randomize the task start time within interval (min.) box and specify time (in minutes) so that the client computers call the Administration Server during a certain time interval after the task is started, rather than simultaneously. This setting can prevent such update errors from occurring.

Hi Tybilly,
there is no description on failed global update task , client can sync with admin kit.
please find attachment on the failed global update task & schedule setting on admin kit.
should i change the interval to 10 or 20 minutes & stop the task if more than 60/120 minutes?
Hi,
Actually, your 480 workstations are downloading update within 5 minutes, which represents about 96 update request per minutes. This can be too much to handle for 1 Administration Server.
I advise you to change the interval to 20 minutes, the timeout option is not important in that case I think.
Also check in the reports of an affected computer, in the details of the update group task to see why the task fails there must be an error message somewhere...

sorry for the late reply.. ihave changed update interval to 30 minutes..but users still complained same problem.
there is no description on failed global update task, it just show failed. anyhow i un-install & re-install KAV, now the update task is working fine
Did you run the uninstall/install via kav admin console on all 400+ machines? or did you do it manually? Reason I ask is I have mixed success/failure installing things via Kav.
