Hi
We are running Admin Kit 6.0.1710 which has a group task set to update Windows Workstations running AV For Windows Workstation 6.0.3.837, via the Admin Kit, on each Admin Kit update. Everything worked okay till I made some changes to the network, setting the Desktops to static IP addresses.

Now, some of the Desktops are showing their new, correct IP addresses in their properties while some are not, despite many refreshes and deletion reinstallation of computers into the relevant Group. All the Desktops, correct and incorrect IP addresses, are now failing to update. The Admin Kit is updating correctly via the Kaspersky Servers.

I'm at a bit of a loss and any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi gld22,

is it possible to get a connect from clients to server?
Try using klnagchk.exe (default located at %program files%\Kaspersky Lab\NetworkAgent). Otherwise just rollout the NetworkAgent again.

Hi dawinci
I previously tried accessing one of the clients from the Admin Kit Computer using klnagchk.exe and it connected okay. I just tried connecting to the computer running the Admin Kit - with AV installed on it too - from the client and that seemed to connect okay also.

Oh I should also have mentioned I tried reinstalling the network agant on a couple of the clients as well. This didn't do the trick either unfortunately.

Please check NetworkAgent connection using klnagchk from client and not from Adminserver. smile.gif

You can also try to re-move them using "klmover -address...." from client wink.gif

Hi dawinci
I tried connecting using klnagchk in both direction.

Just to check. From the client I just typed in the Name of the computer that has the Admin Kit running on it in the 'Computer' edit box. This connected okay, is this the correct procedure though?

Is klmover part of the klnagchk utility and should it be run from the client with the clients address?

thanks

Scrub that last message I had a look around and tried klmover. This did the trick I think, at least on the machine I tried. Just need to go round the rest of them.
