Dear All,
if kaspersky slave server down then how to update agent update any one know to configure update agent.


i have already define update agent BUT STILL UPDATE AGNET DOES NOT WORK SIR................ CLIENTS GOTO MASTER SERVER NOT GOTO UPDATE AGENT ..

i want to share with you sir I AM GOING RIGHT DIRECTION YES OR NO

how i am configure update agent with steps

1.Create new Group by the name of MadinatownUpdateagent in this group have one windows server pc -------that is my UPDATE AGENT

2.Create new Sub Group by the name of MadinatownUpdateagentclient in this group have 7 client of windows xp pc's

i define update agent on SubGroup select Property tab of Updateagents here add windows server pc which is update agent of mine.
also check multicast option

then i enforce. when i check through netstat command established connection with slave server.

but still Problem is that i have not yet been able to update signatures through update agent, i have tried all possible ways, those you have advised.

It's completely normal that a netstat command shows that connections are active between your hosts and your slave Administration Server, event if your hosts should download threats definition from update agent, they keep have to connect to their Administration Server to send events, download policies & tasks (connection should be established on port TCP 13000 by default).

There is a way for you to be sure that your update agent is working, in the "update agent" tab, select host define as update agent and click on "Properties". In the new window opened, click on "View Update Agent statistics" and check the value of the following field: "Total size of information downloaded via TCP protocol". Post a screenshot of this window if you want us to check for you.
