I can't post the AVZ File. There is no way to connect to the page that lists it. I get a page load error. If you can send me the file that has the program in it I may be able to make the file that way.

By the way I scanned that codec file with Kaspersky and it told me the file was clean!

CODE
To create an AVZ logfile, please launch Kaspersky and click on "Support" in the bottom left hand corner of the main screen. Then click on "Support Tools". A new window will open, and underneath the "Actions" heading you will find a button labelled "Create system state report". Click this button to create the AVZ sysinfo log.

Once your system has been analysed, click on "View" in order to open the logfile location.
The logfile should be located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP8\AVZ folder and will be called sysinfo.zip (for Windows Vista this will be C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP8\AVZ). Please collect this file, and attach it to your post/topic.

Attach the sysinfo.zip file to your next post. If you cant attach it, upload the file to a file-hosting website and post the download link here.

I'm using ver 7.0.1.325 c.d.e. There is no option to get a avz sysinfo file. When I hit about I have copyright 1996-2007 Which brings me to believe that I may not have the 2009 version of Kaspersky. That is why I attempted to download the tool but I cannot connect to the webpage. I'm between a rock and a hard place with this. That is why I also asked if you could send me the tool that would help me create the sysinfo file you are requesting.

A virus has changed the dns servers. Read: http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=193238496
Aminal
OK I got and ran the program. Now what. I must assume that I will have to call my cable company to reinstall my DNS servers as I still can't connect to Kaspersky updates.

Mayhaps You can answer me WHY Has Kaspersky turned off? Just because the updates are not up to date is NO reason that I still cannot be protected with the database that is already there! I paid for virus protection and just because the databases are not up to date is NO reason to stop all my protection!!!
Heck I cannot get the Program to run at all! mad.gif
Aminal
I ran the program and still no good. It said I had nothing to disinfect!
I cannot get into my C:/ Drive directly, I can't get into safe mode, run Kaspersky at all , I hit the Icon and attempted to run it directly from the .exe file in Program Files and it does not work),Do a Virus Scan from the Kaspersky Website ( it won't let put the applet on).
I used to have total Faith in Kaspersky AntiVirus, but Kaspersky let this Virus through!!!! I scanned the .exe file before I ran it!

You wouldn't happen to have any more Ideas would you?
Thank you for all the help so far!

first of all the avz log you posted is incorrect, we need the zip file that is created in the log directory.

I didn't read far enough down. Here is the file you wanted. again I apologize. This virus has gotten me fuddeled, I've not been thinking and reading.
Aminal
Does anyone have an idea yet how to get this whatever it is off my machine?
Aminal
Well I haven't received ( for a couple days at the least) any answer on what is on/wrong with my computer and how to clean my computer. I need to know a couple things. Is it safe to make online payments ans is it safe to copy programs from my G drive and maybe some on my C drive. Will I face a possible cross contamination by using programs from this computer if I use them on my other computer. Also With the infection that is currently on my computer is it dangerous to make secured online payments from this computer.

I'm also adding the html that is in the AVZ folder. It has info but I'm not sure whether or not it is helpful--Ed
Aminal
Well I just tried Downloading the updates and the 2009 version from the pages with Getright. Still a no go, I can't connect sad.gif .

no I haven't but I will now.
Aminal
I have no idea why but It wouldn't let me edit my last post. Well I now was able to download the 8.0.0.506 which I will try to install. just a couple questions please. I saw where it was recommended that i totally uninstall my Kaspersky 7 before attempting to install 8. BUT My key is for 7 . will that work? I can't use my Kaspersky 7 at all. I try to use the exe and nothing happens. I guess that it has been disabled sad.gif .
dawgg
v7 keys work with v8.
When installing v.506, make sure the tick box saying "enable selfdefense..." it ticked
Aminal
Well I did get the new Kaspersky AntiVirus installed. I Also did change me servers to open DNS. When My installation get to where it should launch the configuration utility nothing happens.
I installed it and did enable the self defense, it allowed that, but that is it. Kaspersky even uninstalled my Windows Defender which is/was my only defense against malware. ( I didn't realize that the antivirus only program was also an anti malware program).
It seems this one has me and you all stumped also since nothing thus far has worked that helps me identify and/or remove this infection from my computer. I really need some help here, PLEASE??
Thank you all for the help so far but the battle is still not won sad.gif
