Hi,

I am running Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations pushed from an Administration Server. I have a production user that we are setting up multiple monitors for using a dualhead splitter. When I install the drivers (either on the CD, or downloaded from vendor), upon reboot the device doesn't work properly. Checking the Kaspersky logs, every attempt to install the drivers results in it needing to access KAV.EXE and being blocked.

"2009-03-05 2:00:21 Process (PID 2148) tried to access Kaspersky Internet Security process (PID 228), but the action has been blocked by the Self-Defense component. No action on your part is necessary."

I know that this isn't malicious, I NEED to allow this driver access. Is there anything that can be done?

Any help is appreciated!
Tybilly
Hi,

Try to enable compatibility mode under "settings" > "services". Reboot the computer, If it does not help try to disable Self-Defense option in the same window.
This is not safe, but it may help you.
