Topic name says 8.0.0.26
Fresh install of W6.1 on HTC Touch Cruise
Interface response is much better than Beta1, until now after installation it seems good
Btw, After the reboot of 1st install i got a message : "Warning / SMS Parental Control initialization failed, please reboot your device."
edit:I think everyone is having this even in
Russian Section

Hello everyone again. I wasn't around for BETA1 because my old phone would NOT accept it, even with the unlock. I now have a new phone, HTC Fuze.
Install was successful, however,
I also got a error message after the reboot of 1st install: "Warning / SMS Parental Control initialization failed, please reboot your device."

Still seems like this version of KMS is not so light
KMS 7 was much lighter...
Installation even in BETA 1 was smooth, however soon after KMS8 is installed I had to remove it because of unacceptable slowdowns.
Althought i have formatted the phone and now i have newly installed Windows 6.1 and no other application other than KMS and MyMobileR - Again.. soon after KMS8 is installed, the system shows a noticable slowdown.
It takes time for KMS to load after reboot, even the HTC touch flow was not smooth (check screenshot)
The actual performance of Touch Flow was like the animated screenshot, very choppy.

I, too, am having slowdown issues with KMS8 installed. Not as bad as shah, but it is still noticeable. Sorry, I do not have any screenshots. It took awhile for the TouchFLO3D interface to load upon reboot (TouchFLO3D is basically its menu) and KMS also took awhile to load.

Yes installation is fine.. but soon after you install.. trouble starts!
I would have thought that something is conflicting, but i just installed a new ROM upgrade from HTC - so its a clean new system.

It sure is

It would be sweeter if KMS didn't slow it down a bit. :/
But, we're getting off-topic.

Uninstallation:
After KMS scan failed and the phone crashed, so i couldnt run KMS anymore
Tried to uninstall
See the screenshot for the process.. it was a little long so i had to chop off the video to maintain file size.
After installation KMS is still in program menu and you can still see KMS in Remove program options in Phone "Settings"

KMS Reinstall
No response, installs seems to have failed.. even after 15 minutes installer is stuck
So..
1) KMS Crashed during a scan
2) KMS doesnt load startup icon
3) KMS doesnt open from program menu/list
4) KMS doesnt remove itself even after trying to remove it
5) KMS asks to remove old installation before re-installing
6) KMS re-installation stuck for 20 minutes (fails.. i forced the installer to close after 20 mins)
7) KMS "K" icon shows on screen even when installation failed
screenshot below:
Screen 1:KMS says it will remove old files first.
Screen 2: After confirmation, the installation screen freezes!
Screen 3: "K" icon appears although installation fails

may be isolated event..
because of the file it was scanning at that time.. and it is a confidential file (passwords/login details)..
so the best thing now would be to try and get rid of kms somehow so that i can reinstall it

I didnt find such a file
but i attempted another uninstall (i didnt do anything after the previous install failed) -- and surprisingly -- KMS uninstalls and asks to reboot.. which i have done.. i will re-install it now.

I am also having KMS8 not start.
Phone is HTC Fuze

It also will not remove.

Why must this happen? Though I expect there to be issues in a beta.

@ Linkfan551: welcome to the club
(May be for me KMS behaves like that from 0-6am and for you the opposite) lol@ Viktor:Btw, i have reinstalled successfully..
KMS is working fine until now.. When i connected on ActiveSync again it showed sluggish behavior so i have removed all realtime protection and even manual scan i had disabled option to scan archive.. i dont want to even run a scan accidentally

Basically not using for any AV scanning function.

I was to Greedy for testing, I Guess.
Installed KMS 8.0.048, several times on my Omnia, but I hate to say, this doesn't work good on my Omnia.
The former one, was much better.
Installing is Possible, KMS won't start, Phone freezes, Phone is dead (need to remove Battery).
I tried it several times, even when a call comes in, I need to Reboot.
Uninstalling is problematic also.
So I go Back to KMS 7.0 or KMS 8.0.026.
I'll wait awhile.
I have the HTC touch HD - install seemed to go OK, (and unistall as worked fine as well)
TouchFlo is visibly slower
no other issues to report at present..
Hello,
I set up the KMS 8.0.0.48 on a HTC S710.
Then, it asked for reboot but the mobile freezed (freezed on the reboot window actually)
So, I took out the battery and put it back after 1 minute and then, the mobile can’t stop rebooting (always and always …)
So, I did a hard reset and re-set up the KMS 8.
The reboot was OK I can’t launch the software (if I click on the “K” icon, nothing happens)… so no way for me to enter the activation code.
I tried to remove KMS but it was only partial (only the “add/remove softwares” inscription).
So, hard reset again … and … well … I think it’s enough for today ^^

You have been reading what we have said before, right? KMS8 does not start and will not remove within a certain time period each day. For me in PST it is Midnight to 6 AM.
I do not know if this happened within the time period of where you are, or if the time change changed the time (Like if it will be 1 AM to 7 AM now)
If you turn on the phone OUT of this time period, KMS8 will start.
I will see it, thank

Hi,
I've just installed 0.0.48 version on Sony Ericsson X1 (Xperia). After reboot there I got a message "Warning / SMS Parental Control initialization failed, please reboot your device."
Second problem is a little bit of chaos on desktop after first reboot. Kaspersky Menu located on bottom of the display do strange thing with SPB Mobile Shell menu located on top. SPB is lowered and partly hidden under the Today screen. After first scan everything is OK.
Third problem is a speed of system after installing. My X1 is much slower than before installing.
If you need a help with Polish version, I can help You

@
Kuba PuchThe warning message, as you have already seen from replies, is already known.
http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showt...st&p=908645I think its a good idea to post static screenshots (or animated if necessary).. might not always be ncessary but it may give a better look into any possible bug/issues.

KMS do trouble with using screen keyboard on my X1. I can activate keyboard and type without problems, but I cannot disactivate (hide) keyboard.
After uninstall KMS everything works fine.
