Hi,

I have a problem on a client computer using KAV 6.0.3.837.

AVP.exe process is always using 50% of CPU, i already tried to uninstall, delete some KAV folders and reinstall it. Didn't work!

Someone can help me please?

Another issue, this is very strange.

When i was trying to take a print screen of Task Manager, every time i hold ALT key the avp.exe process goes normally and start using 1% of CPU!!! very strange. bc.gif

Please see both attachments, first is AVP.exe using 50% of CPU and the second is was shot holding ALT key and AVP.exe was using 1% of CPU.

Thank you.

Hello,

Try to remove KAV using the remover and then reinstall the product.

Post a GetSysteminfo report of affected computer.

i've found the problem.

Kaspersky was getting Apoint.exe (touchpad program) as a keylogger Gen, but it is a false positive. I uninstalled this program and now KAV is running ok.

Thank you for helpping me!

Hi Leonidas,

Please kindly share it with me, how do you find out that Apoint.exe was the culprit ? Did GetSystemInfo shows that APoint.exe was causing the problem or do you use some kind of method to find the trouble maker ?

Thanks !

I didn't use any method. I just noticed on statistics of Proactive defense the "Events Checked" was counting like crazy. So i look into its logs and noticed apoint.exe counting and counting...

Very simple. ay.gif
