Full Version: Admin Kit not reporting correctly?

Hi all, I have an unusual issue.

One of the 100 workstations I manage, which are all on the same subnet, is being reported by AK as critical - that the NA is running, but KAV (6.0.3.837) is not. When I go to the machine, all looks fine - both services are running, the license is valid. I THINK it is updating from the AK, but AK is reporting the last update as yesterday - I will verify that.

When I try to start KAV from the admin kit, the error is, "Failed to start application: Application is not installed correctly on this computer". The machine was fine for three weeks up to this morning.

Before reinstalling KAV on this machine, is there a known issue I should know about?

TIA,
Bruce

Hi,

What version of Network Agent are you using on this computer ?
Try to restart "Kaspersky Network Agent" service on this host and refresh your console to see if it helps.

I am using v 6.0.1710. The service restart did the trick - many thanks for saving me an hour of time I don't have!!

Thanks for saving me time also. I had the same issue this morning. I checked all my workstations through the Administration Kit and found that the only one giving me this error was mine. Saw your post and restarted the service. Everything is green now. Thanks again.

You're welcome smile.gif

However this issue should be investigated deeper to find why it occurs.
Next time you face this message, please enable tracing files of the network agent during 15 minutes (default synchronization period between agent and Administration Server), collect log files, put them in an archive and attach it here then developers will look into this issue.
