Hi I just purchased Kaspersky and I am replacing the antivirus (AVG 8 free license) that I was using.

I tried unistalling AVG using the Windows XP unistaller, but it did not work.

I tried unistalling AVG using the AVG unistaller, and it did not work either.

It seems that AVG was unistalled, but when I continue running Kaspersky installer I receive a message exiting because AVG still is present and it has to be removed.

Any suggestions????

I faced the same problem before as yours.
I tried to unsinstall AVG v8 using KAK removing features honestly it removes the AVG v8 but once I installed KAV it shows a conflict or third party av installed on that machine.
I tried to delete all AVG file thru REGEDIT but no success.

You know what I did?I repaired/reinstalled the AVG v8 and uninstall using Add Remove Programs under Control Panel and it works fine.
Now I'm using KAV 6.0.837.
Try it nothing to loose.
