Hello

one of our laptops have appeared with this virus: P2P-Worm.Win32.Bacteraloh.bb

when deleting it, it moves to a different location and appears again

i have searched google for fixes or help for this but no luck

i searched the Kaspersky Forum for Bacteraloh and got a thread that was not in english but i do not think it had a fix on it

does anyone have any suggestions

the site is running Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0.3.837 (Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security)

i am running the virus removal tool which was a seperate removal utility on the kaspersky site to see if it will help me out more

Thank You

The same virus popped up today on my computer.
It had previously gone unnoticed in my nightly KAV scans.
I had Kapersky delete the file and backup a copy.

I ran 2 full scans after the delete and it found no threats..
I also could not find much info about this virus - could be new to the updated virus list??

How could you tell the virus was moving to a different location after your delete? Scanning?

My Kaspersky just found the same virus. 5 times, all of which are setup.exe files. One of them is in an zip file I know i haven't accessed for a long time. could this be a false positive?

This last week i have also been troubled by a popup apearing in my firefox. in the background a window is opened that shows a poker website commercial. maybe it is related in some way.

I posted more on this virus in this thread:
http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=104176

For me, it seems my files may be a false positive as I moved them from the KAV backup and did a KAV scan on them today - no threat detected.

Lucian suggested that the false alarm may have been fixed in my case.

Hope that helps.
