I have been seeing a pop-up window asking if I want to get a new version of SmartUpgrade. Interestingly, this only happens when my laptop is connected to my business T1 line and does not happen when connected wirelessly at home. Below is a meesage I found in a blog that describes exactly what I am seeing.

Has anyone seen this or have any idea what it might be?
Thanks

BLOG MESSAGE:
Every time I turn on my computer, I get a pop-up for a "new version" of "SmartUpgrade" My suspicions are first aroused since the window arrives in various shades of grey, when true Microsoft upgrades, warnings, and things, appear in the same color settings that one uses in one's own computer. (Mine are blue....Windows Classic)
Then there's the faulty grammar. Let me copy exactly how this thing reads:

SmartUpgrade module detect a new version for Internet Download 3.0.22 is available. do you want to upgrade now?

Then there's a list of 3 options: (click one)

Upgrade Now

Remind me later

Never remind me

I always click "Never remind me" and I'm not bothered for the rest of my session. I can't find "Internet Download 3.0.22" on my computer. I have gone so far as to open the site, but never effected the "upgrade", although it says it's from Microsoft. There is also no way on the site that I can see to prevent this pop-up from coming up every time I turn on my computer. I'm thinking this is the gateway to some kind of Trojan Horse, worm, or virus. What say y'all????
