I'm using the Admin Kit (v6.0.1710) running on MS SQL Server 2008 on Windows Server 2003 and I'm having trouble pushing updates via a group task. To be more specific, only two of our four servers will update. The error message received for the two that fail is the same: "Not enough rights for file operation". See the attached pic; FYI, the server "FRIDGE" is a Windows 2000 server running KAV 6.0 for Windows Servers, while "MAIL" is a Windows Server 2003 server running the same KAV package and also Kaspersky Security 5.5 for MS Exchange Server 2003.
The share permissions of the network folder where the updates are located - C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Administration Kit\Share on the admin server (shared as "KLSHARE") - are set so that "Everyone" can read. Additionally, the security settings of that folder show that the following groups can read, read/execute, and list folder contents: "Administrators", "Authenticated Users", "KLAdmins", "Server Operators", and "System". But I don't think this is a server-side permissions issue. If it were then I would expect the other two servers to also fail.
A couple of other things I can think of:
- The group task "Account" tab shows that the account being used for the task is "Default account"
- I tried specifying our main domain admin account but that didn't work either
- The group task fails if it runs on a schedule and also if I run it manually
- The update sources for this task are set as "Kaspersky Administration Kit", followed by, "Kaspersky Lab's update servers"
- If I create an identical global task, change it to run "Manually", then specify the two servers, the task does not actually run; if I click "Start" I see the green triangle icon showing that it has started, but if I refresh the page then the triangle disappears; the task properties show zeroes under all status categories ("Modified", "Scheduled", "Paused". etc.) and if I click "Results" then it simply shows a status of "created"
