Hello,

I am new to Kaspersky and i have been testing Kaspersky Administration Kit 6 ( 1 admin Server with the console + 2 Work stations with agent/KWS6), and i'm trying to remotely remove threats such as viruses from my admin console.

I've been in every windows, and i can see for exemple that WS 1 has 13 viruses in total but i find nowhere how to see what theyr are and if i can treat them !

Thanks,

Viruses should be removed automatically by default. To see virus processing results, use 'Virus activity report'.

So i can't remove them remotely ? This principally to avoid false/positive catastrophies !

You should know that when Kaspersky Anti-Virus deletes an infected file, a copy of the original file is automatically done in the backup storage then you can restore it to its initial location in case it is a false positive.

Using Kaspersky Administration Kit, you can manage quarantine and backup storage of all computers of your network, then you can restore files on the remote computer.
You have to create a policy for Kaspersky network agent for that.

So using it in a production environment is never hazardeous ? I had some bad experience with antiviruses like Avg or bitdefend deleting (fp) cygwin's DLLs or even Window's.

False positives are a problem which concern all anti virus vendor, even the most serious and well-known have had a critical FP one day so there is no 100% of chances to have threat signature free of wrong detection.

What I know is that a Quality Assurance is performed on all threat signatures before they are published on public update servers to avoid this phenomenon.

In conclusion, yes you can use Kaspersky Anti-Virus in production environment.
And even if you face a false detection, now you know what you can do wink.gif

You can test updates automatically for FP in your environment before distributing them on the clients. Please see here:

In version 8 of corporate products that functionality will be simplified a lot.

Hi I just would like to know when will the version 8 for corporate be released. I just bought 50 users workspace security and I think version 6 is not at par with the current versions of AV around in the market. Thanks.

This version is in beta phase, so you must be patient with final release.
