1. How often this error (Generic db error: "Database error: code = 0x80004005, message='Unspecified error') occurs?
2. Please open your Kaspersky Administration Kit server update task properties, open "Results" and select "Export" command in the context menu to export task history to a text file and attach this file to your post.

there was no changes of any kind on the software or other software of the installed server.

it just stoped getting the updates.

I mean, how often this string occurs in your Kaspersky Event Log ("How often this error (Generic db error: "Database error: code = 0x80004005, message='Unspecified error')")?

Now please do the following:
1. Stop Kaspersky Administration Kit server service.
2. Turn on server tracing:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\Components\34\1093\1.0.0.0\Debug]
"TraceLevel"=dword:00000005

3. Start Kaspersky Administration Kit server service. Wait for 2-3 minutes.
4. Run update task. Wait for 2-3 minutes.
5. Rurn off server tracing:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\Components\34\1093\1.0.0.0\Debug]
"TraceLevel"=dword:00000000

6. Go to the installation folder of Kaspersky Administration kit and find server trace file: $klserver-1093.log. Create an archive of the file and attach it here.

Well, after restarting the service, the update started working. is this a known problem or is it still worth to post the log?

This problem is not known. But if everything works fine now, the log is of no use.
Please export your Kaspersky Event Log - we'll look at the history of the errors.
