I've added updater.EXE to my trusted list but everytime I run Universal Updated I have to 'allow now' before it will run. How do I stop the requirement for this as it's already trusted?

How do I show screen, please?

I created a new folder named Kaspersky manual update, into this I added the Universal Update files (Temp/rollbackForRetranslation/iupdater/Updates etc etc) then via KIS 2009 settings/threats and exclusions/trusted zone/trusted applications, I clicked 'Add', went to the manual update folder and added the update application. It is now in my trusted application list as updater.EXE, but the 'prompt for privileges' warning still comes up saying ''updater.EXE belonging to group 'Trusted' is trying to create a file belonging to group Confidential data/User files.
The file is C:\ users\steve\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\index.dat
I can click Allow
and then Allow now (for this session only) but Make trusted is greyed out, and besides it is already trusted!!

Please, do the following:
1. Download Updater.exe version 3.2.0.2 and KasperskyUpdater.exe (GUI).
2. Unpack archives to the folder where the old Updater.exe is located.
3. Run KasperskyUpdater.exe, check the necessary settings and press "Start".

Inforn me about result.

Alexander...HIPS? is this Trusted applications, if not you've lost me. By restart I'm guessing you mean run, as I start the manual update download by clicking a shortcut on my quick launch toolbar?

Alexander, I'm not as KIS literate as you think, sorry wink.gif
I haven't seen these windows before and don't know how to access them. Can you point me in the right direction please?
Oh, and how do I delete all the HIPS rules?

Updater.exe deleted, KasperskyUpdater.exe not in 'applications under control'. Re-ran manual updater, warning still comes up and have to 'allow' it which in turn adds it to 'under control' again! This is even though Update.exe is in my Tusted list.

Host process for Windows services is probably in Low restricted. Post a screenshot of the Low/High restricted group and applications in it. smile.gif
