Hi
Security Alerts: Norton cleaned, Reg cleaned, KIS7 installed OK. Security Centre Reporting Virus protection OFF Security Centre Reporting KIS OFF in 'installed spyware progs' Will not let me change KIS to ON Says NIS installed when it isn't. Says Windows Defender ON and I can't switch OFF KIS says everything is ON What do I do? |

Sounds like the contents of the repository folder has become corrupt; happens with all AV:s from time to time.
Try this: Disable the WMI service. Delete the c:\windows\system32\wbem\repository (don't worry - it's safe, and it will be recreated automatically. This contains the information Security Center displays). Restart the WMI service. Wait a few minutes until the repository folder has rebuilt itself (I rebooted immediately once, and then the procedure failed). Reboot. |
