Well ive read a lot of good opinions on KIS so i decided to try it, i downloaded kis 7.0.0.125 and installed just fine. But now im stuck trying to figure how to configure it.
Have to say that browsing is slower than before, i have everything enabled but parental control. There are so many options that i honestly dont know where to begin, so is there a guide to set up KIS properly? (like indicating recommended settings?)

Oh and btw, everytime i change ip, a windows prompts telling me to wether allow or block it, is there a way to just allow them automatically since all the ip changing comes from my only network adapter?

i.e i opened emule and set the firewall to training mode, then a lot of windows showed up to ask me if wanted to allow each ip emule connected to. i thought this was really annoying.

Cant complain though, already blocked one attack smile.gif, so hope theres a tutorial to "pimp" my KIS. Thx in advance

Because V7 isn't officially released in English yet, there isn't such a guide.
Which security level have you set for Webantivirus? Which kind of internet connection do you have?

Firewall --> training mode
Privacy control-->protection of data, phising, dialer are checked
antispam ->recommended

Hi,

there are pdf guides in german and french at the country homepages.

I think its not a matter of the settings...did you try firefox !?

Normaly there are 2 avp processes running, if something is executed (scanning for example) there could be more, normally they are using less than 20kb..

Did you made a clean deinstallation of older KIS / Security programs including remove tools !??

Yes, first thing i always do after uninstalling a program is to try and clean all traces of it, so yes it was a clean uninstall.

Now ive learned few more things and it seems to be running fine, yet have some doubts about this:
Ive never had a virus on my pc(atleast since i gained experience), maybe some adware but easily removed, my question is, should i enable application integrity control as it seems to slow down explorer.exe or this feature is more for computers that are prone to be attacked?

Cause at first i set up everything to high, but then i put them on recommended since like i told before, ive never had a virus or trojan on my pc.

Oh btw, for online gaming, how should i set the rules in the firewall?
Allow all tcp? block udp? games that i play are battlefield call of duty, counter strike, etc.

If you during install chose the basic /recommended installation, that will in most cases be enough for you smile.gif

Though I would enable the registry guard.

In firefall settings you can add the Emule exe and choose allow all, then you wont get any more popups about remote addreses ect. from Emule.

I would just choose allow all if I were you, I always do that with my online game.

There is a manual that comes with the program just press F1 and it will magically appear.
