Product version: 6.0.2.614
OS: Windows XP (SP2) Problem description: I just installed Kaspersky, of which it found Trojan-Clicker.Win32.Agent.jh. I have deleted this file through the software. However, I am convinced there is a remnant of the trojan as I am getting the following errors: Riskware: Hidden data sending Running process (PID:1884) C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.exe Details Process C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE (PID: 1884) is trying to send data using a trusted application. Intended address: http://85.17.3.249/trafc-2/rfe.php Data: cmp=dun_wav_ron&affid=66695&nid=fp&guid={f60054ac-4f8b-4780-bac6-fe3cd1bfd52f}&lid=http&url=http%3A//www.cnn.com/&border=1 I have been denying these items, but I want to get rid of whatever exists on my computer. I have seen this same request coming out of port 1860. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Have you tried a full scan? Whay does it say?
This Running process (PID:1884) C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.exe Doesn't have to be a malware. One other thing I wuld suggest is upgrade to .621 -------------------- * Download latest products * Kaspersky Removal Tool * GetSystemInfo* Virus watch 3 * Dutch Support Forum

hello
it looks like something is still there. could you post a hijackthis logfile to see if there are things leftbehind that kis missed? download hijackthis: http://www.merijn.org/files/HiJackThis_v2.exe save it, and run it. press scan, and afterwards "save log". then post the log here. also what options are enabled under the proactive defense's application activity analyzer and have you gotten any invader popups for explorer.exe? -------------------- |

As for the full scan, that was the first thing I did. After it detected and deleted the trojan file, it came back that the scan was clean.

However, the trojan might have remanifested itself. I've read up on this in a few forums, and I'm pretty sure it's in there deep. My computer is running slower, and any time I try and quarantine those "Hidden data sending", it closes all windows and gets rid of all icons. All that can be done at that time is restart. I'm so fried on this stuff, and I just want it gone. Is there any hope? Thanks |

quarantine won't do any good. that "thing" is using a trusted process, windows explorer to send information to the internet, quarantine will only quarantine explorer.
first uninstall spywarebot, if you still have it installed and remove its folder. check if this dll still exists C:\WINDOWS\iifedb.dll. if it does move or rename it and send it for analysys afterwards: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=13881 download superantispware, install & update it and perform a full scan with it: http://www.superantispyware.com/ remove anything it finds. when its done post a new log. Ok, I had to reinstall to uninstall spybot. I found C:\WINDOWS\iifedb.dll, renamed it to C:\WINDOWS\iifedb2.dll and ran it through the scan. It came back clean.
I got superantispware, ran it and deleted everything it found. Rebooted and started everything normal. That's when the first pop-up went straight through everything. I'm losing the battle. i'm sure the scan picks them up as clean, but that doesn't mean they are clean. if they are still there move/delete them. and also this file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmp3.tmp.dll
then open hijackthis again, press scan. check the following entries: R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://bfc.myway.com/search/de_srchlft.html R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4D25F926-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\deSrcAs.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4D25F921-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\deSrcAs.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {67C55A8D-E808-4caa-9EA7-F77102DE0BB6} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmp3.tmp.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {f60054ac-4f8b-4780-bac6-fe3cd1bfd52f} - (no file) O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file) O16 - DPF: {3A7FE611-1994-4EF1-A09F-99456752289D} (WildTangent Active Launcher) - http://install.wildtangent.com/ActiveLaunc...iveLauncher.cab close all windows except for hijackthis and press fix checked. -------------------- |

I wanted to thank everyone for all their help. I took the cowards way out, and used Boot and Nuke to clear everything out. I'm starting clean and I'm just going to watch the activity of my connection much more closely.
Again, thanks for everyone's help and suggestions. Thanks |

Go to regedit, and look for dlder.exe, if you have it, well you have it, it hides itself all over everything, especially in the restore files, I just gave up and reinstalled windows, the other file you can try and get rid of, but have found nothing that does it, and I spent almost 4 days foolin around with this damn thing, is the explorer.exe file, in WINDOWS, BUT!!! be advised there will be two of them, make sure you find the one that redirects you to your documents or what ever file it makes you look at. Kas 6.0 didnt see it, and from what I have seen and read, its appears to come in on a plug in, that you dont allow, but comes in anyway. Good luck my friend!!
