Hi there.

Was wondering if someone else out there is running KAV 6.0.2.614 on vista home premium (maybe any version of vista) and is possibly having any issues with it?

I purchased KAV when I had WXP SP2, upgraded to Vista then realised that I had to DL the Vista version. Installed, applied key, everything was hunk-a-dory. Now I seem to be getting these errors... Previous Launch of Kaspersky Anti-Virus failed. The location of the dump file is....
C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP.6.614_03.21_03.19_a8c.SRV.mini.dump
But unfortunatley i cant seem to find that location on Vista. I have tried searches to no avail, also tried typing the location into the address bar, no joy there. This is all so I can send the dump file to KAV support team

I put in a search for this issue in the forum and it returned null.

Hopefully someone can answer these problems for me.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Thank you for your time and effort.

I'm using KIS with Vista Ultimate 64 bit -- the AV part seems fine; the firewall requires more interaction than I'm used to (maybe that's a good thing?); but the AntiSpam feature doesn't work. I submitted a support ticket here a week or so ago and have yet to hear back. The support ticket is still open, just not responded to.

Hey Zammy,

I am just running Kaspersky Anti-Virus.

Hey Don Pelotas,

I think the stored location is for WXP so I am unable to send a copy of the minidumps to support as I cant find it on Vista.

Any help in these areas will be appreciated very much. Thank you

Hi, the location that you are asking about is actually a hidden system folder on Vista. In order to see this folder click on my computer and then your C drive.
On the left hand side click on "organize" and then select "Folder and search options". On the window that opens click on the "view" tab and then put a radio dot in "show hidden files and folders" and click "apply".

The folder "program data" will then be visible in the root of C, hope this helps!

I'm running V and XP with .614 with no issues. Have you performed the basics? Clear temps, disabable ALL startup programs (Windows Defender disabled), scan disk?

I have most Vista services disabled on my machine, including Defender.

Sometimes it's as simple as reinstalling the software. Tried that yet? Many times a corrupted file or registry entry will cause issues.. Try a new latest download, not what on your computer.

Thank you gaz666.

That did help alot. Somethin to remember in the future. Still getting used to Vista. Similar to XP but things are named or shown differently.

I have 4 minidumps and 4 full dumpd. great :s

I shall send them off the now.

I also try a re-install and clean up first. I've not really tinkered with any services, no problems there. still got defender on. I kinda like it, kinda same feel as kerio but I think kerio is not compatible with Vista.yet.

Thank you guys. Has help alot

Please upload memory dumps to rapidshare.com in a WinRAR compressed archive and post the links here. Also make sure you are running the latest version from http://kaspersky.com/productupdates

Hi Master Chief,

Did you get a solution to your problem? I am running Vista Ultimate 64bit with KIS 6.0.2.621 and have started to experience the same symptoms as yourself although not all the time. Just wondering if there is a known problem or will I have to contact Kas Lab. Thanks.

Hi steviegal & welcome

Yes, you should contact support http://support.kaspersky.ru/helpdesk.html?LANG=en, you can attach the dumps to the request.
