My Tune Up Disk Explorer showed me that Kaspersky Lab is taking a lot of space in my C:/ As much as 17 GB, is this normal? Because I have over 30 files called ENC1 files in the folder, KAV.13.0.1.4190f.etc, each file at least the size of 350,000kb. Is this standard or am I able to get rid of all these files?

Most likely you have TRACES enabled. See this: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showt...7&hl=traces

I previously had repeated Kaspesky failure to launch. Every launch initiated dump files to be created and sent. I have come to realize that my Kaspersky folder now has dump files, over twenty compressed files all end up taking space as much as 17 GB. Can I delete these files from my C:/?

You can delete the dump files located at: C:\Program Data\Kaspersky Lab Delete only the files there, not any of the folders.

Note: you may need to view hidden files and folder in order to have access to the Program Data folder.

If uncertain as to what to delete, please post a screenshot or file path name.

How to take and post screenshot: PrtSc (Print screen) key (upper right part of keyboard)> open Paint (Start > All programs > Accessories) > Edit > Paste, File > Save as (jpeg or
png, Not bmp). When replying, Browse > click once to select file > Open > Upload > add reply.

So I am allowed to delete all those ENC1 files and compressed files? (after locating them according to the instructions)

No folders, just the enc1 files. If you're not sure, post a screenshot of the file path. Make sure TRACES is disabled in Support Tools

I have disabled the TRACES as instructed. The remainder are compressed files and small ENC1 files. Thank you. If I am allowed to delete the small ENC1 files too, then please notify.

Your assistance was very much appreciated.

Yes, you can delete those files (only files, do not delete any folders). But on your screesnhot there are lots of dump files, so post GSI report here as kaspersky is crashing for some reason.

Most of those files I noticed were created back when I had a problem of Kaspersky crashing early this year. Every time the Kaspersky turned itself off and restarted, the files were notified to be created as report and sent. That was resolved, apparently due to a Windows update or Internet Explorer update, which I uninstalled....
