Hi,

I created an USB boot drive.

When I boot from USB I came to the Kaspersky start screen, can choose the language, can choose the option (start graphical or CLI interface etc.) accept the Terms and conditions and when the boot process starts then I get a black and white screen with a lot of warning and messages like

can't evalute _CRS: 12311
[...]
Can't mount root filesystem
[...]
Kernel panic

etc. see attached screenshot

and the system freezes.

has anybody an Idea what happens and why the rescue disc system can't start/boot from USB?

thanks in advance
_ulf

Don't know, I have an Ultrabook without CD.

So my specs are

Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook
Intel Core i7
8 GB RAM
Windows 7 home premium

what else?

It looks like a bug in the linux kernel revision that is used with the rescue disk - at least that's what I saw around the net (which means KL will update the rescue disk binaries at some point and use a newer version of the Kernel where the behavior doesn't show).
Have you also tried booting in just the CLI mode?

Same here with GUI as well as CLI when I tried to repair a friend's old Windows XP computer. Yet it worked when I booted from an actual CD.

P.S. I boot the rescue disk from an USB drive created with xboot. I have not tried anything else yet.
