Hi,
I installed Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8.1.0.646 for windows in testing mode in 10 machines. The KES work fine. I have issue in Device control. I had blocked the USB in "Type of Device" and in "Connection Buses" too.Kaspersky Block the USB removable drive properly, but problem is that the user of that machine restart the machines and boot in safe mode and copy the data in USB, Because in safe mode Kaspersky not run or nor active its policy. I try it with KSC9 and without KSC9 but result is same. anyone tell me how can I restrict the user to copy the data in USB Drives. OS = Windows XP/7 This post has been edited by Mystery4u: 27.04.2012 13:36 |

This is not an Kaspersky issue!
If user has physical access he can boot up e.g. Linux live cd and move files from hdd to removable devices and vice versa. Anyway, do you know google? For XP there is a registry hack - works but you'll have maybe problems to troubleshoot issues. http://forums.techarena.in/operating-systems/1173908.htm A hotfix is available to block standard users from logging on to a Window 7-based or Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer in safe mode http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977542 |
