Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 Not opening., Kaspersky continued to request updated databases. Now unresponsive. Options

I am unsure of when this problem began. I tried to run both scans in Kaspersky. Kaspersky asked me to update databases which didn't work. It still asked me to update. I did a system restore. Which might not have been the best idea or not, I don't know. And now Kaspersky isn't opening. The circle in the corner of my screen is grey, and tells me that protection is paused. I have been trying to open Kaspersky without luck.

I have hopefully done everything right to get the GSI log and the virus-info secure zip.
Please tell me if I had done them wrong or I am missing something.
A detailed list of what I should do next would be helpful. I am not exactly the smartest when it comes to securing my computer.
