TESTING: Kaspersky Updater 2012 for Windows-Updater, Сurrent versions: GUI 2.3.2.133, Updater 3.5.0.34 Options

We proudly present our new Kaspersky Updater 2012 (version 2.3 for the Updater utility version 3.5 and higher):

Kaspersky Updater 2012 is available for download on the this topic only: [attachment=228438:Kaspersk...133_Beta.zip]

Instruction:
- download the archived GUI (the archive contains: KasperskyUpdater.exe and kasperskyupdater.loc);
- extract it into the updater utility folder (the one containing: Updater.exe and ss_storage.ini);
(Remember: the folder with GUI should contain the file Updater.exe)

Changes (compared with version 2.2.2.109):
1. New GUI.
2. Code optimization.
3. Scheduler settings have been modified, related bugs fixed.
4. Fixed a bug related to the autoclose of the Update Utility after successful completion of downloading updates.
5. Added an option to enable / disable start of checking for the new version of the Update Utility after successful completion of updates downloading.
6. Added check for non-Latin characters in the file paths used by the Update Utility.
7. Applications for workstations and servers are divided into two tabs.
8. New versions are added to the application list:
* Kaspersky Security Center 9.0 (version 9.0.2825).
* Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers (version 8.1.560.0).
* Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server (version 8.0.5793.0).
* Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 (version 10.0.31.4).
* Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0 (version 8.0.2177).
* Kaspersky PURE 2.0 (version 12.0.1.303).
* Kaspersky Security for Virtualization.
* Kaspersky 6.0 R2 SOS /for Windows Workstations/ for Windows Servers (version 6.0.4.1611).
9. Changed the list of components when KAV for 6.0 R2 Windows Workstations (versions 6.0.4.*) and Kaspersky Security Center 9.0 are selected simultaniously (added components for KAV for 6.0 Windows Workstations (versions 6.0.2.* - 6.0.3.*)).
10. These versions/applications are deleted from the list of applications because of because of discontinue issuing new databases:
* KAV 6.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition (versions 6.0.0.454 - 6.0.2.551).
* KAV 5.5 for Unix Mail Server (versions 5.5.2 - 5.5.33).
* KAV 5.7 for Linux File Server (version 5.7.17).
* KAV 5.5 for Samba Server (version 5.5.9).
* Kaspersky Security 6.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers (versions 6.0.715 - 6.0.1262).
* Kaspersky Security 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Servers (versions 5.5.1000 - 5.5.1354).
* KAV 5.1 for Microsoft ISA Servers 2000 Standard Edition.
* KAV 5.6 for Microsoft ISA Servers 2000 Enterprise Edition.
* KAV 5.5 for Microsoft ISA Servers 2004 Standard / Enterprise Edition.
11. Added "Hot keys":
* Ctrl+A - select all applications in the list.
* Del - delete all applications from the list.
* Ctrl+Shift+V - checking of the presence for files Updater.exe and ss_storage.ini in the folder with file KasperskyUpdater.exe.
* Ctrl+Alt+R - update main window background. If you want to change the background, save new picture as the file background.bmp into the folder with file KasperskyUpdater.exe and run Ctrl+Alt+R.
* Ctrl+Alt+С – open the configuration file ss_storage.ini in the default text editor.
* Ctrl+Alt+F – open the KasperskyUpdater.exe’s working folder.
* Ctrl+Alt+T – open the temporary folder.
* Ctrl+Alt+U – open the folder with the databases.
12. English, Russian and Spanish localizations are updated.

This build is provided in the test mode!

Why is the SOS version are listened under the server tab.

When I try to download this product I found it under the workstation.

Kaspersky Updater 2012 RC, version 2.3.2.133 (April 12, 2012)

Changes (compared with version 2.3.2.132):
1. Kaspersky Internet Security / Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 BETA are added into the application list.
2. Kaspersky Anti-Virus SOS moved from the tab “Servers” to the tab “Workstations”.
3. Filter for some applications are changed.
4. Added check of the installed Kaspersky Lab application: the name of application is added into the name of update application parameter.
5. Fixed a bug related to the browsing of mounted network disks (tab Update source and folder).
6. Fixed and updated localizations: German, Spanish, English, Russian. Chinese, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Portuguese and Lithuanian.
7. Other fixes.

can you add the just released version 8.0.1.71 for Lotus Domino?

I´m also missing version 9.2.69.0 of the Security Center.

Please change: Internet gateway into Internet Gateway and Klein-Internehmen into Klein-Unternehmen.

As feature request: It would be nice to add a list of Application control Plug-Ins.

I would like to suggest something. Kaspersky Updater installs and updates the database components. But it would be nice if it could delete those files from the update folder, that were removed from the servers.
