I have several clients that are not working with KES8.
In the Event logs, I am seeing this a bunch of times: Processing automatic keys failed Product ='KES' Version ='8.1.0.0' #1195 Resource is unavailable Any ideas? |

Kaspersky chat support hasn't been able to fix this for me. I'm getting it on about 3 different machines.
Here is a snip of the install log: MSI (s) (C4:44) [22:08:09:551]: Invoking remote custom action. After 10 hours of troubleshooting, I have finally found the problem.
I started realizing this was happening on computers that had MICROS CAL software (POS) installed on it. I uninstalled the software with the same results, Kaspersky not loading. Then I started looking into the system variables. I removed one called "ServerName <MICROSSERVER>" and reinstalled Kaspersky. Success! So the issue was a system variable on the Windows XP computers called ServerName. My MICROS apps still works with this variable removed, as far as I can tell. Freakn' weird. Does this make any sense? |
