When doing search and the results come up, the safe webpage K-green triangle or gray triangle does not come up to show if is a safe or unsafe website. This just started today. I have to hit the refresh or reload button and they the triangles show. I checked settings and all are okay and nothing was changed. This just started today.

What can be done to resolve this problem and have the safe webpage triangles appear as before?

Thanks for any help!

Its not a bug, it just means that the KL server was not able to respond in time.

Thanks for your reply. I've had KAV for 2 years and never had this happen before so that is why I was concerned. Does this happen often?? Will it correct itself eventually?

Again, thanks for any and all help!

Relax please, there is no need for several bumps of your thread through the day, this is not a Titanic situation!

1. Click here to download the GetSystemInfo tool
2. Run getsysteminfo.exe, click run and next create report.
3. The log will be autouploaded and added to the clipboard with the default settings.
4. Now add the link from the clipboard to your post about your issue, use insert link and rightclick to add the link in the clipboard.

Important!.....Please do all 4 steps when you make the GSI log, too many just add the raw log to his/her post. This is very very difficult to read so please add the link to the uploaded log, not the log which is a zipfile.....we just need the easy to read link from the page that opens when the log is finished.

I am relaxed and sorry the replies were not done for bumping up the thread. I just wanted to add what was happening. Sorry for that. As I am not computer savy I will try to follow your instructions for system info. and post. If not, thanks anyways for your help.

Was this what you needed? If so, have you been able to determine the problem? Thanks.

The log reveals very little i'm afraid. If it continues then i would do a complete uninstall/reinstall. Other than that you only have contacting support left if it continues and are constant.

A friend suggested the site called "Bitdefender" that reports if a page is safe or not. Do you know if this site can be used with KAV2012? Thanks!

Personally, I would avoid relying on any type of programs or features that work on the basis of "site reputation" to determine if a site is safe or not, simply because no program can keep up with the minute-to-minute changes of a certain website, since websites can be hacked easily to spread infections. So, a false sense of security is given to the user.

KAV will protect you perfectly well even without the browser plugins which enable the reputation feature.

Just to clarify in my computer dummy mind....... if the green safe site trianges do not show, the computer is protected as if they were showing? I appreciate all help I get from this forum with every problem I have posted.

Thanks!

Of course.
If you attempted to enter a website marked as red triangles/malicious, it would be blocked by the WebAV component. And even if you disabled the browser plugins completely such a site would still be blocked by WebAV.
The icons are just for show, the main protection is within KAV itself.

I'm trying to STOP the green K's appearing on websites, they completely screw up the formatting on some sites. I disable web anti-virus and apply then the K's disappear. Once I go to another site, they're back. Any clues on how to kill them off ?

Disable the Kaspersky URL Advisor in your browser addons/plugins settings (depends on which browser you use).
