Hello,

every morning my PC is displaying a blue screen (klpf.sys) or freezed. It seems that some applications in the night tried to connect to the internet, but in my sleep I couldn´t allow a connection or define a rule smile.gif

System: XP Home + SP 2, kasp1.7.130_anti-hackerde.exe (german edition)

Any ideas?

Chrisi

Hi chrisi, and welcome to the forum!

What other protection software have you installed (and had you installed earlier) additionally to KAH?

Hello,

constantly active security related apps:

-MicrosoftAntiSpy
-GDataAntiVirenKit (built in KasperskyEngine + BitdefenderEngine)

BTW: The log-files are always empty, I think they get only updated when security level is high? At the moment I am runnig AntiHacker in a "training mode" (middle).

Sincerely

Chrisi

Sorry for coming back late.
I'm at the moment out of help regarding GData AV and KAH running concurrently. In my opinion requests for an internet connection by any application should never cause a BSOD even if KAH blocked these attempts. The file klpf.sys seems to belong to KAH.

Hopefully another forum member with a similar configuration will jump in and give advice. In case you don't get an answer within reasonable time I suggest to contact Kaspersky support. Use the support link in the "Support" tab of KAH.

Regards

Maybe an idea to uninstall KAH, and reinstalling it?

'Cause klpf.sys belongs to KAH.

Other possibility is it has to do something with (the drivers of) your video card or memory problems.

Hello,

no, I don´t. I have got reinstalled KAH now, but the problem has not gone.

From time to time the BSOD appears also at daytime.

-A Request from AntiHacker appears: Allow/block connection...
-I don´t react immediately aand wait a few seconds
-BSOD in klpf.sys

It seems that the application or any other tries to open further (not predefined allowed/blocked) connections while AntiHacker still waits for user decision about the first connection. Could this cause the problem?

Sincerely

Chrisi

It seems to be a great problem: Read here. This trojan re-write the klpf.sys.
If you can read German, read here

Not exactly a great problem Rene, Haxdoor is an older trojan and would have been picked up by Kaspersky AV or most other brands. wink.gif

Chrissy, if you don't use Kaspersky AV then try the free Kaspersky Webscanner and please mail Foxgen so he can help you, a new version of AntiHacker is soon to be available and i'm sure hw can provide you with a copy. smile.gif

In general you're right, but I don't really like a conjunctive mood, if we're speeking for viruses wink.gif. Besides at AVK 2004 are only weekly updates availaible, ergo I cannot leave out the contamination of PC with this Backdoor.

Rene

The point of my post was not to scare Chrisi with "what if scenarios" , but instead make sure he/she would mail Foxgen (a developer) who has offered to help. smile.gif
