Listed in Active Threats is a suspected keylogger (C:\Program Files\apoint2k\apmsgfwd.exe). Is this really a keylogger? I have read that apoint2k is associated with the Alps Touchpad on my laptop.

To be shure, ask the Kaspersky technical support by sending in the file and the detection report.

Hello....No you don't have a keylogger and you have read about what it is.

The file is a Microsoft signed file. ApMsgFwd.exe is able to record inputs and monitor applications

which is the reason Kaspersky are pointing it out.....just make sure Alps Electric is in trusted applications.

This is a proactive detection by Kaspersky on legitimate software....r/click and add it to exclusions.
