Recently tried to upgrade KAV2010 to 2011 beta version which failed to activate. removed it and returned KAV2010. now cannot update get error below

7/9/2010 12:48:08 PM Task cannot be started Kaspersky Anti-Virus My Update Center Not enough rights for file operation

how do i fix this so that i can update?

realised that. my problem is with KAV 2010 that refuses to update giving my the error message i gave above. using virus definitions from july 2009 when it was released

Apart from the above....the best thing would be to run the removaltool from safemode, then reboot when finished and reinstall 2010/11 (non-beta!). This way you have started over fresh.
