I visited a sports web site sent by a friend several days ago and received a message pertaining to a Trojan detection, which I thought was blocked. (though wasn't sure, since KIS messages aren't very intuitive to the average user).

Looked at detected threats again today, and see the detection still shown in attached screenshot from the date I visited the site (did not scan since). Status says: infected.

Trying to follow the instructions of another post on this forum, I booted into safe mode and ran a "Quick Scan" there. Didn't see any different results. Tried to restart to boot back out of safe mode, and when Windows starts up again, I get the error (which i have never seen before) Cannot find local profile, logging in with temporary profile. Wow. Not good.

Please advise.

Note: my windows install (XP SP2) is quite old and I'm also very near maxing out my HD.

Thanks

Its fine. The detection was of a script on the website, not on your harddrive, so it cannot disinfect or delete it.
Kaspersky can only block it.

You see the big green banner at the top of the report...and in the main KIS interface.....if its green and says "no active threats" or "your computer is protected" then everything is fine. If it is red or yellow, then you are required to take some action.
