i just download KIS 2010 version 9.0.0.736; did an update.
Anyways, this is my system: Windows XP Pro SP3 with latest updates Intel E8500 @ 4.04ghz with Asus Freezer Xtreme heat sinker 4gb g.skills 1066mhz, xp only see 2.75gb 300gb 10k veliciraptor HD 3x1tb wd green HD Faltal1ty pro sound card Asus GTX 295 gpu LG GGW-H20L HD-DVD/Bluray burner Dell 30inch monitor. Asus WL-500W wireless router i did a full system scan and it found 4 trojan and deleted them all: trojan.win32.buzus.awuv & trogan-psw.win32.agent.ntm (from c:\) it also finds heur:trojan.script.iframer (from http://)..but the status said it's infected...not sure how to get rid of this. my question is that why is the KIS 10 my protection status would stays green while under thread detected section. it said VIRUS: 130 TROJAN: 3 the trojan stays at 3 every since i install KIS but the virus number keeps on increasing. like last night it was 71 and today it's 130 what does this mean and how can i get rid of this? |

Kaspersky has probably already handled these threats by deleting, blocking, quarantining, etc. That is why your protection is "green". Posting a screen shot of the detected threats you are seeing might help. Be sure to widen the columns so all text is visible. Here is how to post a screen shot if you need it:
1. Reproduce the situation that you want forum members to view. 2. Press the “Prt Scr” key (usually next to the F12 key). 3. Open the Paint program (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint). 4. Select Edit > Paste > File > Save As (jpeg or png). 5. When replying, Browse > click once to select file > Open > Upload > add reply. |

it also finds heur:trojan.script.iframer (from http://)..but the status said it's infected...not sure how to get rid of this. It probably means that your system tried to download malware from a malicious URL and KIS blocked it; so there's nothing to get rid of (it's like it has never happened). the trojan stays at 3 every since i install KIS but the virus number keeps on increasing. like last night it was 71 and today it's 130 what does this mean and how can i get rid of this? The radar just shows a historical number of how many "threats" or riskware KIS has detected so far. Just ignore the numbers; if you're running KIS in automatic mode it will disinfect everything automatically and no action on your part is required. As long as KIS stays green you're protected. If you're still unsure, post a screenshot of all threats KIS has detected (click on the green traffic light, -> Detected Threats tab, choose "all" from the drop-down menu, expand all columns and make a screenshot of it like dh27564 instructed). Much more information is just two clicks away. Click Threats Detected, then drop down to Active threats, and post that screenshot. With columns widened to show full name and object details.

QUOTE ...blank, nothingness. That is good. So, there is no Active threat. Drop down to All Detected malware, and that will show content from websites and/or other, that has been processed accordingly. If unsure, post that screenshot. -------------------- Please see the Important topics, located at the top of this section, and at the top of other sections of this forum.
