I was trying to fix the latest vulnerability with Adobe Flash Player by updating to the latest version, and needed to first uninstall the previous version
As I was trying to uninstall Adobe Flash Player ActiveX Installer, I received a red alert saying "Detected: worm-like activity, cannot delete." I ran a full scan, which said "no threats detected." But the Kaspersky detailed report says, with red exclamation point: "Detected: PDM.worm.P2P.generic"; cannot be deleted. " (File location is C:Windows\SYSWOW64\MACROMED\FLASH\UNINSTALL_ACTIVEX.EXE) What do I need to do, if anything, to remove this worm? |

Just run the flash removaltool:http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashpl...lash_player.exe,(direct link), it's a generic detection......you're not infected (99.9%).

I tried running the flash removal tool, but it's not removing Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX; it's still listed in Programs. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. |
