It seems like there are very few features in the anti-spam protection of the Kaspersky Security 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. A particular feature that I am very surprised to find that is not included is a whitelist. The anti-spam protection is completely useless if one can't add certain emails to a whitelist. I've tested this and there's some legitimate emails that get labeled as spam and sent to the junk folder.

I understand you can update a "blacklist" through Exchange System Manager. As far as I know you can only create a "whitelist" by connection (IP address). Not very intuitive.

The anti-virus also lacks many features, surprisingly there is no quarantine. The ability to quarantine emails and release them if there are false positives is not possible. The only visibility you have is through a report that doesn't provide much information.

Quite disappointed in the security suite for Exchange Server 2003.

hello,
1) AS feature within KS4Exchange2003 is obsolete: all of us are waiting for the new version which will provide much more, let's say, dynamic and effective technologies.
2) AV: here "backup" container acts like a quarantine...if it was a FP, you can restore it in a while. IMHO, there are very, very, very FEW false positives in AV detection....nevertheless you may get rid of as i stated before.
