Can KIS 2010 be updated using Universal Updater? Will there be a new post v3.2.0.2 version to include 2010?

Please check on http://support.kaspersky.com/updater?level=2 that you have the latest version, it should support version 2010.

Thanks JR, didn't realise there was an updated version. i've installed it and am running an update, usually this only takes a couple of minutes but the new version update download has been running for nearly half an hour now; does it have to re download the whole lot again first time?
Under 'setting and service > download', I've selected Application databases only...is this correct?

It's ok to only download the databases in case you don't want updates for program modules (hotfixes). Currently there are no hotfixes yet for version 2010, so it should not make a big difference.

I tried running the update utility and it took only a few minutes to download the complete set of bases for KIS 9.0.0.409. In case you have already run the update utility before it should be even faster - the versions 2009 and 2010 share most of the components.
You could make sure that you haven't accidentally enabled the downloading of all databases available on the servers. I also could imagine that there is a high load on some servers at the moment as there was a new product version released recently causing higher traffic.

Thanks again, final question(s)...I'm still running 2009 at the moment, should I run application program modules with this?
Also, when I downloaded the new Updater I put it in a seperate file to the old one, then when I had tested the new one, I deleted the old one. However, in Update Settings>Source this old location is still in the list and obviously redundant, how can I delete it?

I would probably run an update of the program modules - if you don't have problems it might not be really necessary though.

In KAV/KIS there should appear a red X for deleting an update source after selecting the corresponding item in the listing.
