I'm getting aaplication event errors on my 2 exchange servers: KSE Event id 4131. Could not update. Source file not found.

Although it appears that the anti-virus databases are updating from our update source. What source file is it looking for? we are currently running latest version of ks for exchange 2003 5.5. the update source is another server on our network. Thank you for your time.

Can you update from Internet?

1st, our exchange servers do not have access to the internet, for obvious reasons....we have a server (KAV) used to download all the updates from kasperski update servers. the shared update folder is \\kav\klshare\updates. in the updates folder are the folders autopatches, bases and index.

on the exchange servers, ks 5.5 for exchange 2003, i have the update source set to \\kav\klshare\updates. are we missing sharing the bases and index folders or do i have a permissions issue? thanks for your responce.

Is the KS4Exchange plugin installed on the AdminServer? Can you administrate the product there? Which version ist the AdminKit and Netagent?
What are the properties from the update task from the AdminKit under Settings / Select?

I have the plugin for exchange, v 6.0.1591.0 and yes i can manage the exchange 5.5 product, but in the admin kit, it shows a - for anti-virus installed and a + for network agent installed.

the admin kit and network agent versions are 6.0.1710.0

the only task i see available for the exchange 5.5 is install liscence key. it doesn't have an updater task like the other products, unless i'm not following you correctly. I'm not seeing where Settings/Select menu options are.....

I did that yesterday and restarted all the ks services on the exchange servers. the KLEXconnector.dll ver is 6.0.1716.0. also ran the reg entries.

here's an excerpt from the log file on one of my exchange servers:

25:06:2009 17:25:41 Updates subsystem 0x4cd20039 Content filtration databases are being updated
25:06:2009 17:25:42 Updates subsystem 0xccd11023 Could not update: Source file not found
25:06:2009 17:25:42 Updates subsystem 0xccd1302b Error. File: .\antispamupdater.cpp, line: 190, error code: -2147467260
25:06:2009 17:25:42 Updates subsystem 0xccd1302b Error. File: .\antispamupdater.cpp, line: 212, error code: -2147467260

maybe this will shed some light on my issue? keep in mind that the anti-virus databases seems to update regulary.

also why is the time off? it's 4 hours off of my time zone....and my server....
